Maintaining a beautiful property takes time and dedication. Everyone’s situation is different and we're here to help you with whatever your goals may be. If you want to take care of your own lawn and you just want to be pointed in the right direction, we can help with that or we can provide you with all the services listed below. We will work together to come up with a plan that suits your needs.
We will provide you with a comprehensive plan that will be tailored to your lawn. Just like any other plant, your lawn needs water, sun, and food to flourish. We can provide the right kind of nutrients tailored for each part of the growing season so you will have a thicker, greener lawn.
Neatly trimmed shrubs, bushes and hedges posses a natural beauty that can enhance the curb appeal of your home. Most formal hedges will need to be trimmed three or four times annually to maintain a neat, manicured appearance. Informal hedges, which are allowed to grow into a more natural shape, will require trimming just once or twice per year.
We can provide you with a lawn cutting plan that will be tailored to the season. Your lawn grows differently with each season. We live in a "cool season" section of the country and the grass here is usually a mixture of Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass and Fescue. These variations do really well in the spring and fall when the soil temperature ranges from about 50 degrees to 75 degrees. Since these temperatures promote growth we recommend mowing your lawn every 7-10 days. As the soil temperature starts to rise in the summer months, the grass growth slows and it will go into a dormant state. This usually occurs when the soil temperatures reach 80-85 degrees. Under these conditions we recommend mowing every two weeks.
We like to cut the grass at a length of about 3.5" to 3.75" but we will adjust our cut length to whatever you like. Longer grass will do better in the warmer months as the grass has the ability to block the sun from reaching the soil to help keep the soil temperatures down as well as retain moisture.
Our fall clean-up service is the process of removing all leaves and other debris that might have accumulated over the course of the summer and fall season. Leaves that are left on top of your lawn prevents sunshine from reaching the turf and provides a home for weed seeds, mold and bacteria. If you don't deal with this situation come spring, your lawn will be patchy and less healthy.
We recommend aerating and overseeding at least once a year. The best time to aerate is in the fall when you have warm soil and cooler temperatures. The aerating opens up the soil which allows air, water and nutrients to penetrate the roots and stimulate growth. This is the best time to overseed since the seeds will fill in the holes left by the aerator and create a perfect place for the seed to germinate.
